We are situated within 30 minutes of the North York Moors and the Yorkshire Dales, which both offer stunning scenery and great places to stay and are just an hour from Whitby and the beautiful North Yorkshire coast. Within 90 minutes you can reach the Lake District, Northumberland and the Peak District, while Scotland is just two hours away. Why not visit York, Scarborough, Harrogate or Leeds? Check our Pinterest pages for great touring ideas.
For longer breaks EU cover is available letting you tour France, Holland, Belgium, Germany... We love the overnight sailing from Hull to start an overseas adventure within a couple of hours!
Tourers can stay at campsites, festivals, events or even wild camp. We provide a "Britstops" handbook full of pubs, farmshops, breweries and other places to stay for free in return for a little custom. In Europe "aires" are widespread (and we can provide free handbooks when you travel).
Sites offer a secure space, hook-up and room for an awning or small tent. Choose those within walking distance of beaches, pubs, paths, villages, towns or bus stops, so that you can leave your vehicle on site and explore the area. Click on the "Search for Sites" logo to see the possibilities! Just wind out the awning, light the bbq and open the wine... In the cooler months heating, warm bedding and hot drinks keep you nice and cosy!
